Am I eligible for the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program?

Five quick questions, instant result. No email required. Based on CMS eligibility criteria as of May 28, 2026.

About the Bridge Program

The Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program is a temporary CMS payment demonstration launching July 1, 2026. It allows eligible Medicare beneficiaries to access certain GLP-1 weight-loss medications — Wegovy, Zepbound (KwikPen formulation only), and Foundayo — for a flat $50/month copay through their existing Part D or Medicare Advantage drug plan.

The Bridge is not a permanent benefit. It runs through December 31, 2027. Ozempic and Mounjaro are not covered because they're FDA-approved for diabetes, not weight loss — their standard Part D coverage is unaffected. The program does not change Medicare's general policy on GLP-1s for weight loss; it sits on top as a separate, time-limited program.

This checker walks through the five eligibility factors CMS uses: drug-plan enrollment, BMI threshold, qualifying health conditions at lower BMI tiers, the specific medication you're considering, and whether you receive Low-Income Subsidy (Extra Help). It takes about a minute. Your answers are not stored or sent anywhere.
